The song explores relationships and circumstances that can become toxic or unhealthy, while offering a broader message: you have the power to change the story unfolding in your life. Sometimes saving yourself begins with one small decision today.

The song features Deyra Barrera, whose soulful and passionate voice immediately connected with the emotional heart of the song. Barrera is also credited on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX. Raymundo says, “I feel incredibly honored and lucky that Deyra agreed to be part of this. The first time I heard the mix with her vocals, I cried. No matter where this song goes, I will always be incredibly proud of it.”
